Batik Basics
Ocean-inspired batik tea towel & holder.
Students will learn how to make Batik designs on a tea towel.
his is kid-safe batik using glue.
Students will incorporate the element of line in their designs.

You will have 2 instructors who have years of experience in
the beautiful mountains of North Carolina and Georgia.
You will complete an 8 X 8 basket with or without a handle.

No experience required!

6 X 6 Ladybug Trivet
They will be glazing on two 6 X 6 trivets
that have been bisque-fired to create this ladybug.
Then I'll take them home to fire in a kiln and
bring them back for pick up on July 25.

Clay Whimsical Chicken
Fun imagination!
The base of the chicken is 2 pinch pots put together.
Neck and accents are added to make this whimsical chicken.
Then I'll do a bisque firing.
On 8/11, you'll come back to glaze your chicken with Indian ink glazes.
This is a 2-day class,

and adding feathers, etc. Then putting it on a wood stand.

The teacher will fire the glass in a kiln & assemble the pieces.
The teacher will supply a battery-operated votive for inside the house. Students may pick up houses at the MAC in 7 to 10 days.

a pre-cut clear glass base to form a "woven" pattern.
The teacher will fuse the glass in a kiln, then "drape" the piece over a
mold to create a "handkerchief" votive holder.
Pieces may be picked up at the MAC in 7 to 10 days.

They will use cotton for the bodies and glue the ears, head, and legs.
Then they will add stars and eyes to finish.
